Louisville

Anyone who goes to Louisville soon discovers it is one of the most uniquely authentic destinations on
the planet. Welcome to Bourbon City. Yes, Bourbon is a spirit that comes in a glass, but it’s also a spirit
that defines their culture and compassion, arts and parks, and creative energy. It’s this same spirit that
continued and created Louisville itself – a city that combines heritage with innovation, authenticity with
originality, quirkiness with friendliness in a way that’s completely unique to the region. Louisville is an
entirely different type of Southern. From boundary pushing twists on Southern cuisine that have made
it one of the “10 Best New Food Cities” in America to the one and only Urban Bourbon Experience™,
featuring the world’s only, city-wide trail filled with award-winning micro-distilleries, exhibits and craft
cocktail destinations.

Sightseeing Cruise aboard the Belle of Louisville

Take a ride on this historic 104-year old paddle wheeler and experience a cruise that is like a step back
in time. Purely steam powered and paddlewheel propelled, the Belle is the only remaining authentic
steamboat from the great American packet boat era. The Belle is a National Historic Landmark and
holds the distinction of the most widely traveled steamboat in American history. Enjoy a meal in the
ballroom, visit her original engine rooms to see engines dating back to the 1890’s, and enjoy
sightseeing on the open air texas deck.

Derby Dinner Playhouse

Derby Dinner Playhouse is the theatrical entertainment leader in both Indiana and neighboring state
Kentucky, noted for their professional productions of Broadway musicals and lighthearted comedies.
Each dinner theatre production comes alive with the magic of lights, costumes, a live orchestra, and a
stage full of professional performers. Derby Dinner Playhouse is proud to be one of the oldest and
largest continually operating professional dinner theatres in the country.

Backstreet Breakfast at Kentucky Derby Museum

Experience the authenticity of the backside of the race track during a rail side breakfast in the Track
Kitchen… There’s no experience quite like a once-in-a-lifetime chance to spend a morning on a private
backside tour at Churchill Downs Racetrack. Your group will get a behind the scenes view of
Thoroughbred racing at the “World’s Most Legendary Racetrack.” Along with more than 1,400 stalls
that are mostly all full during the peak season, enjoy breakfast in the Horsemen’s Track Kitchen, see the
horses training rail side, catch them during a bath and learn about life at the track. Be sure to bring
your cameras because on any given day of training, visitors will get an up close and personal view of the
horses, jockeys, trainers, and other connections who live the sport of horseracing!

Kentucky Derby Museum / The Greatest Race film

The Kentucky Derby Museum is an American Thoroughbred horse racing museum located on the
grounds of Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. Dedicated to preserving the history of the Kentucky
Derby, it first opened its doors to the public in the spring of 1985.The museum consists of two floors of
exhibit space, including a 360-degree theater that shows the HD video The Greatest Race. Through the
film and exhibits, visitors can learn what goes into the breeding and training of a young foal and the
path it takes to the Kentucky Derby’s winner circle. Every Kentucky Derby win is honored in the Warner
L. Jones Time Machine, where visitors can watch any Kentucky Derby from 1918 to the present day.
Exhibits highlight the stories of owners, trainers and jockeys as well as the importance of African
American jockeys and trainers to the race and the Thoroughbred industry.

Evan Williams Bourbon Experience

Located in the heart of downtown Louisville on “Whiskey Row”, the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience
combines two of America’s favorite things, history and Bourbon. Whether you’re an enthusiast of
either, or looking for something exciting to do in the city, this is the perfect destination to learn and sip
at the same time. Experience the life and contributions of Evan Williams, Kentucky’s first commercial
distiller, through guided tours, featuring an artisanal still that reflects the timeless process of how
Bourbon was made centuries ago; and educational tastings that capture the character of his namesake
brand.

Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory tour

Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory is all about celebrating the extraordinary role of Louisville Slugger
in baseball’s past, present and future. Baseball connects generations. Since the sport is such a big part
of American history and culture, even visitors who don’t consider themselves big fans find something
here that resonates with them. Maybe it’s the fun stories and fascinating machinery in the factory, or
the hands on exhibits, or one of the special exhibitions that broaden the interpretation of baseball.
And, really, who doesn’t love a free mini-bat?

4th Street Live

4th Street Live! is the Louisville premier dining and entertainment destination.
